"Paranoid Parking" (New Haven, CT)

In this project, strict rules of paranoia, which govern the layout of parking spots and bike pods on different levels of the intervention next to New Haven’s train station, create an irrational structure. As shown here, spatial tendencies are given to specific actors which then adjust according to their programmed behavior. In the end, these spatial rules are used to undermine the typological preconditions of the parking structure.
